The Chamber Orchestra of Barrington at St. John’s will present the second concert of its tenth season on Sunday, November 15, at 3 PM in the Episcopal Church at 191 County Road.

Led by Music Director and Conductor Luis Viquez, the orchestra will take the audience on a musical journey showcasing three distinct soundscapes.  Anchored by Jean Sibelius’ epic Symphony No. 3 in C Major, the program also includes Introduction and Barcarolle for Chamber Orchestra by Rhode Island’s beloved composer, the late Richard Cumming, and Pacem in Terris, an expressive statement on peace and human dignity by Salvadoran composer Juan Guerra.

Admission is free, though “pay-what-you-can” donations are welcome at the door, or through cobsj.org/donate.

The Harvest Moon
By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

It is the Harvest Moon! On gilded vanes
And roofs of villages, on woodland crests
And their aerial neighborhoods of nests
Deserted, on the curtained window-panes
Of rooms where children sleep, on country lanes
And harvest-fields, its mystic splendor rests!
