Black History in Wickford – A Walking Tour
The story of Wickford’s people of color across the centuries is a complex and intriguing blend of story lines that include details about slavery and the Triangle Trade, the Narragansett people, and freed blacks who came here before and after the Civil War.
On Saturday, June 11, Historian and Walking Tour Guide, Tim Cranston, used compelling stories to weave the history of many slaves who were part of the rich history of Wickford with LLC members.
