From Then to Now: how artists share themes of slavery, racism, diversity, equality and inclusion
A RISD Museum Program for LLC members featuring three current gallery shows with Liz Crawford, Museum Educator
On Tuesday, June 6th, thirty-six LLC members attended a curated tour given by two women from the education staff at the RISD Museum. They focused their talk on two specific works of art – a beautiful photograph of a young black woman and an impressive sculpture by a RISD graduate. The museum educators gave us their time, knowledge and encouragement to learn more about this amazing exhibit. So many people in the group said that the tour far exceeded their expectations.
